Eye Kitchen Design is all about independent kitchen design and independent kitchen advice. I’m here to help you design your kitchen… or to design your kitchen for you… and to help you choose where to buy it. I use today’s virtual kitchen replacing software which saves you both time and money. It eliminates the frustration of returning products that don’t work for your new design because using this software not only narrows choices, but let’s homeowners make final kitchen replacement choices with confidence.I don’t sell kitchens. I can often recommend what sort of kitchen to buy but I don’t supply kitchens – and don’t receive any profit on sales. I charge a fee for coming up with a design, for illustrating that design and tweaking it to your satisfaction. I try to keep that fee as low as possible… so that it’s affordable even for inexpensive kitchens. The standard of designs you get from the kitchen suppliers – who do want to sell you a kitchen – is very variable and sometimes very poor. I’m here to provide a practical alternative just for the design of your kitchen… to make sure the layout and appliances and worktop are all exactly what you want… or to make suggestions if you’re not sure. I don’t supply electrical drawings/diagrams. Some up market companies offer this service – but I reckon its best sorted out by your fitter and your electrician. They’re the ones who really know what they’re doing. We may make some suggestions for the positioning of sockets but all electricians have to be qualified these days and they’re the best ones to advise you. Supplying extra drawings would also be very time consuming and I don’t want to put my prices up. It’s all very well for those posh kitchen companies - the designers there are probably making thousands of rand’s in commission for each kitchen – and then there’s the profit on the kitchen sale.
